VAYUÉ is an Indian art perfumery and attar house based in Chennai. We craft fine fragrances using 25% imported Swiss fragrance oil — the same quality tier used by European niche houses — blended by hand in small batches and aged before every bottle is filled. The name comes from वायु (Vayu), the Sanskrit force of wind. Perfume only exists because air carries it. We named our brand for that force.

Every bottle is blended and hand-filled in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. We are not a reseller and we are not a white-label operation. Every batch is formulated, macerated, quality-checked, and bottled in-house before it reaches you.

VAYUÉ is built by its founder — a Chennai-based professional who blends every batch by hand. The brand is intentionally small, intentionally careful, and intentionally unhurried. The founder’s name stays private. The work speaks.

Yes. VAYUÉ PARFUMS is registered under the Government of India’s MSME Udyam scheme. Registration number: UDYAM-TN-02-0490256.

An attar is a pure fragrance oil — no alcohol, no synthetics, nothing added. It sits on the skin rather than evaporating off it, which means it opens slowly, deepens over hours, and lasts far longer than a conventional spray. A perfume (EDP) combines fragrance oil with alcohol, which gives it a faster, more immediate projection. Both are valid. They are simply different ways of wearing a scent.

Every bottle in the Signature Collection contains 25% imported Swiss fragrance oil. The industry standard for an Eau de Parfum is 10–15%. We are more than double that. This is why a single application lasts 8 to 12 hours on most skin types.

Our attars are completely alcohol-free — pure fragrance oil only. Our Signature Extrait perfumes are blended with 96% food-grade Indian ethyl alcohol as the carrier. If you prefer an alcohol-free option, our attar range is the right choice.

No. VAYUÉ does not conduct or commission animal testing of any kind.

Our attars contain pure fragrance oil only — no synthetic fixatives or fillers. Our Signature Extrait line uses premium imported fragrance oil blended with food-grade alcohol and a small amount of DPG (Dipropylene Glycol), a standard cosmetic-grade fixative, and Tocopherol (Vitamin E) as a natural antioxidant.

After blending, every batch is sealed and stored in a cool, dark environment for a minimum of four weeks before bottling. This maceration period allows the alcohol and fragrance oil molecules to fully bond, which produces a rounder, more integrated scent profile. Fragrances bottled immediately after blending are sharper and less complex. We do not rush this.

A 50ml Signature Extrait, used daily with 3–4 sprays, will last approximately 4 to 6 months. A 15ml Travel Vial will last 4 to 6 weeks with daily use. Attars last longer because application is more targeted — a 5ml attar vial with daily roller application typically lasts 2 to 3 months.

If you are in Chennai, you are welcome to request a sample experience by contacting us on WhatsApp. For customers outside Chennai, we offer 2ml sample vials with select orders — ask us when placing your order. Each product page lists the character and mood of the fragrance. Because VAYUÉ variants are inspired by globally recognised reference fragrances, if you are familiar with the original you will have a strong sense of what to expect. For specific note questions, WhatsApp us — we are happy to describe any fragrance in detail before you buy.

Yes. Many of our customers prefer it. Message us on WhatsApp with the name of the fragrance and we will guide you through the rest.

Yes. We offer gift-ready packaging with a handwritten note on request. Mention your gifting requirements in the order notes at checkout, or WhatsApp us before placing the order.

No minimum order. You can order a single 15ml Travel Vial if that is what you need.

Delivery is free on all orders above ₹499. For orders below ₹499, a flat shipping charge of ₹60 applies.

Standard delivery takes 4 to 7 working days depending on your location. Metro cities (Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad) typically receive orders in 3 to 5 working days.

Yes. Your tracking number will be shared via WhatsApp within 24 hours of dispatch.

Not currently. We ship within India only. International shipping is on our roadmap for 2027.

Yes. Every order is bubble-wrapped, sealed, and packed to prevent movement during transit. Glass bottles are individually wrapped. We have not had a transit breakage since launch.

Because fragrances are personal care products, we do not accept returns once a bottle has been opened and used. This is standard practice across the fragrance industry.

If your product arrives damaged or broken in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with an unboxing video or clear photographs. We will replace the product at no cost to you. Email vayue.parfums@yahoo.com or WhatsApp us.

Contact us immediately. We will arrange a replacement or refund of the correct product within 5 working days at zero cost to you.

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 working days and credited to the original payment method.

Orders can be cancelled before they are dispatched. Once dispatched, cancellation is not possible. Contact us immediately via WhatsApp if you need to cancel — we process orders quickly so the sooner you reach us the better.

Apply to warm pulse points — inner wrist, base of the throat, behind the ears. Do not rub after application — friction breaks the top notes. A small amount goes a long way. One or two rolls of the applicator is sufficient for the full-day effect.

Hold the bottle 10 to 15 centimetres from the skin. Spray once or twice on pulse points. Do not spray on clothing — fragrance oil can stain fabric. Give it 60 seconds to open before assessing the scent — the first second is alcohol, what follows is the actual fragrance.

Keep the bottle closed and away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. A cool, dark drawer or cabinet is ideal. Do not store in the bathroom — the heat and humidity from showers degrades fragrance oil over time. Stored correctly, your VAYUÉ fragrance will maintain its integrity for 24 to 36 months.

Our attars are alcohol-free and generally well-tolerated by sensitive skin. If you have a history of fragrance sensitivity or allergies, we recommend a patch test — apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before full application. Our Signature Extrait line contains perfumer’s alcohol which may cause irritation on very sensitive skin. When in doubt, consult your dermatologist.

Yes — layering is one of the most enjoyable ways to wear our fragrances. A common approach is to apply an attar as the base (directly on skin) and finish with a light spray of an Extrait over the top. The attar anchors the blend and the Extrait adds projection. Experiment — there are no wrong combinations, only unexpected ones.
